Fathers Day

I am so grateful to my husband for being the greatest dad to our sons and working hard to make our dreams come true. I fall in love with him more and more everyday we are together. Thank you on this Father's Day. I also, am grateful to my own dad and his quiet influence. He is a tender heart and teaches us by example. I love you Dad and hope you have a Happy Father's Day.

Sod, Sod and MORE SOD!

We spent Saturday helping Michael and Cassie put down their sod and oh my it was a job! We all worked together and got it done. It looks beautiful. Today we are all a little sunburned and sore. We were pretty good at the sunscreen, but forgot the legs. Ouch!

Fishing Fun...In Winter

We went up to a friend's cabin last weekend to enjoy some family time. It was a lot of fun, but the weather was all over the place. We tried to take the boys fishing for the first time this year and all in the same day we had sunshine, rain, SNOW and of course wind. The high only got to 43 degrees brrrrr. I will say it made the cabin that much more cozy. We watched a couple of movies and played some games with the fire burning in the background. It was great! Even though it was cold, when the sun did decide to shine through it made the views breathtaking. It is such beautiful country up here with the sun shining on the lake and the snow topped mountains in the back.

QVC set me FREE!

I am going to begin this story by explaining my obsession with bathrooms and my OCD. I have a certain way that each bathroom has to be cleaned. There are certain sponges for different areas in the bathroom and it has to be done in a certain order not to recontaminate an area. I get a really good workout when it is time to clean bathrooms because of this process. Now on to the story. A few days ago we had just gotten home from the gym. Upon getting out of the shower I hear someone in the hall bathroom. I come out of my room and find Dillon (age 3) in the doorway to the bathroom pulling his pants up. I look in there and find the plunger hanging out of the toilet. I immediately ask him what he is doing. (Probably not using the best voice tone) I go to clean up and notice that the toilet is indeed clogged. Dillon started to babble something and after 30 seconds or so I realize he had flushed is banana down the toilet, peel and all! (Only 2 bites out of it) When Steve got home that night he asked Dillon who flushed the banana. Dillon know he was in trouble and said with little hesitation, "Braxton did it." Amazing how smart they get. Today, I borrowed a contraption my mom bought off QVC. It builds up air pressure to push out stubborn drains. I am proud to say this thing is well worth the money. It took a couple of times, but we are clean and clear! I think I will have to call QVC next time this is on the air and bear my testimony of the power of this magnificant tool!!
