HELP! Opinions wanted!
I have been doing a lot of reading on the health benefits of green and white tea. I have been unable to find anything specific from the church on this topic. Can you help me? This is a curiosity that I would really like to know. I obviously will honor the word of wisdom...but the information is convincing health wise. Thanks to all who help me.

It is my opinion that any tea that comes from an actual tea plant would be considered tea in the W of W. I drink lots of herb teas: peppermint, ginger, lemon, peach, etc. While these are teas, they come from plants that I could eat in my normal diet. I would never eat a tea plant....you get my drift. However, I am convinced that there are some benefits (antioxidants) available from the green and white teas so I have occassionally brewed up some decaf green tea. I personally find it much less appetizing than the others and I'm not sure the benefits are that overwhelming that I couldn't also get them from other foods or even some of the herbs teas that taste better. You asked for it and you got it--my opinion!
Sunny says if you're Japanese, green tea is Ok, but black tea is not. Josh says if you're German, green and black are out, but red and white are in! I think it's one of those judgment calls that no one else can give you advice on.
Keep your diet on track and you won't find that the tea has much that you're not getting. I think they smell better in lotions and bubble bath than they taste anyway! Maybe you can absorb it through your skin. :)
Hey, Cousin Christine! I got your message. Thank you so much for the call! I will be calling you very soon. It was so good to hear your voice.
